Terms and Conditions

  • Set up time is from 8.00am onwards on market days
  • Market trading hours are from 10.00am to 3.00pm and all stallholders must trade for the duration of the trading hours (even in the case where a stallholder has sold out).
  • All stallholders must vacate the market area by 4.00pm on market days.
  • Vehicle access to the market area is for loading and unloading only, and no vehicles may be in the market area between 10.00am and 3.00pm.
  • Stallholders are responsible for bagging and removal of their waste and rubbish at the end of trading.
  •  Each stallholder will trade under a single day casual trader licence basis.
  • Please note that any pre-booked stallholder who fails to attend on the day will be charged full pitch fees for the day.
  • All stallholders must have public liability insurance. (PLEASE ENCLOSE A COPY CERTIFICATE WITH YOUR APPLICATION)
  • Application for a stall does not guarantee a place. All successful stallholders will be informed by the Market Manager 10 days before market day.
  • All fees must be paid at least 14 days before the date of each market; no fees will be accepted on market days.
  • The Market Manager will select the successful stallholders from the application list, and stallholders will be selected on the basis of commodity and balance of trade. The Market Manager’s decision shall be final in all matters to do with the allocation and location of pitches.
  • Stallholders must ensure that all products conform to all relevant legislation and safety requirements.
  • All equipment including signage, labelling, and weighing equipment must conform to current legislation.
  •  Please note that stallholders are not allowed to smoke on or near their stalls.
  • The playing of music, or the use of microphones or amplified sound is not allowed unless by prior arrangement with the Market Manager.

CityMarkets shall not be liable in any way to any stallholder or other person for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused (including as a result of the cancellation of any event).
